St. Andries

The area of the small town of Koewacht was famous for it's flax industry. This flax factory was built in 1938. Nowadays many other products have replaced flax and the most flax factories in this area have closed their doors. You can still see some chimneys above the trees when you drive through the area. There are plans to demolish St. Andries altough some people say it should be saved as a monument. For now, St. Andries is still standing there.
