Filature Nouvelle Orléans

This factory was founded in 1896, it was a large cotton factory with somewhere around the 9000 employees. These days, this town had a big textile industry. Around 1950 the glory days of the textile industry in this town were over. After the fusion with De Waele & Röthlisberger in 1957 and the takeover by UCO in 1972 it lasted until 1990 when the machines were sold or brought to other UCO deparments..
